In 2013, longtime architects and friends Sharon Ong and Foo Wen Hui founded Think Cloud Design Lab, a Kuala Lumpur-based architecture and design firm that makes spaces with you, not just for you.
Relationships are the brick and mortar of everything we do. We work intimately with local craftsmen to explore materials and actualize projects, as well as involve you at every stage of the process. Your input shapes the spaces we create.
We believe that diverse minds result in alchemy. That’s why we’re also fierce advocates for open studio culture. Our headquarters, Beyondto.co, is a synergistic coworking space where architects and other professionals are welcome to communicate and collaborate. Our community is how we enrich our work.

Ong Sharon - [DIPID BSc Hons PGDip Arch (RGU) ARB RIBA LAM] studied architecture at Robert Gordon University, where her travels in Scotland sparked her passion for design. She won several student awards, including the Best Student Award for MArch/PGDip in 2007. After graduating, she worked in London on private and social housing projects and later completed her Part 3 qualification at the Bartlett School of Architecture. Upon returning to KL, she joined C’Arch Architecture + Design, contributing to large-scale developments and developing her interest in materiality and passive tropical design. Sharon now combines practice with teaching as a design studio tutor at UCSI University.
Ar. Foo Wen Hui - [MA Hons MArch (Edin) LAM PAM] Wen Hui’s architecture journey began at the University of Edinburgh. While she was still in the land of tea and crumpets, she interned at Adjaye Associates in London and did a stint in digital photography at Stills Gallery in Edinburgh. Back in KL, Wen Hui joined C’Arch Architecture + Design, where she worked on a lot of residential high rises. However, she never got into architecture just to design reinforced concrete skyscrapers. She found much more fulfillment in designing and constructing several community-building projects in Malaysia and Thailand. These challenging, yet thrilling experiences transformed her into an ardent advocate for vernacular tropical architecture.
Wen Hui became a registered architect in 2015 and is also a design critic at UCSI’s School of Architecture and Built Environment. She is also venturing into the coworking space domain and has several workspace design competitions under her belt. When she is not building stuff, she is usually braving the Great Outdoors in a tent with family.
Ar. Wan Noorlaila -
Stephanie Choo - [BSc Arch Hons (UCSI)] Currently a PhD candidate focusing on sustainable workspace, while being the studio nanny for Beyondto Co.
Melika - [BSc Arch Hons (UCSI)] Melika is passionate about sustainable architecture and creating a healthier space for everyone. In her free time, she enjoys hand and digital drawing and jogging.
Zhi Shing - [MArch(Tongji)] Zhi Shing is always curious about how spatial design foster connection and spark inspiration between individuals. She believes that experiences beyond architecture—whether through travel, baking, or reading—enrich her perspective and shape her vision for creating inclusive and grounded living spaces.
Shen Yi -
Andrew - [BSc Arch Hons (UCSI)] Andrew believes good design should make life better in every way, from daily routines to long-term experiences. Outside the studio, he enjoys developing new ideas and playing golf.
