"Like the intricate weaving of the Temair craft, this space is a tapestry of tradition, binding together the knowledge of the rainforest with a touch of modernity."

Cradled within the rhythm of the rainforest, this model tells the story of Interwoven Worlds - where one man’s search for meaning meets the wisdom of the Temiar, one of Malaysia’s Orang Asli communities. The building serves as a response to the challenges faced by the Temiar: the loss of ancestral land, the erosion of traditions, and economic vulnerability.
Envisioned as a space for cultural preservation, knowledge exchange, and healing, the proposal offers room for ceremonies, storytelling, weaving, and communal gatherings, while opening a respectful dialogue with outsiders who come to learn.

Brain Vomit: A collection of understanding.

Initial Ideas and Concepts
Interwoven Worlds holds space for the Temiar to continue living with the rainforest, rather than apart from it. It acts as a bridge, rooted in the past, open to the future, and built on the shared respect between two ways of knowing.
