We learnt to build this outdoor classroom to reflect its location, Pangkor Island, on multiple levels. Using locally harvested bamboo and traditional fixing methods, we build the structure under the guidance of Encik Rahim, a bamboo artisan. The finished structure is in the shape of ikan bilis, which abound in the island’s surrounding waters.
